Limited Edition Bottle – 2016 Series | NO LONGER AVAILABLE Sour. Love. The next fruited sour from Yellowbelly showcases the magnificent Wexford delicacy, strawberries. Our house Berliner Weisse malt bill was mashed as usual, kettle soured with lactobacillus, fermented and conditioned on an absolute hape of strawberry (7kg per hl for those inclined). The resulting beer […]
The YellowBelly Bottle Series. This was a series of bottles released in 2016, right before we made the move to cans. We created 9 in total – each totally unique. Each one was hand-filled by the entire YellowBelly Beer Team and then conditioned at our brewpub – Simon Lambert & Sons. You might see a new one appear here from time to time.
The perfect summer sour. Our house Berliner Weisse recipe (soured with our, continuously evolving, barrel stored lactobacillus culture) conditioned on a small tropical islands worth of passionfruit. Expect a lovely fruity aroma, more fruit on the tongue, and even more fruit on the finish all rounded with a gentle acidity from the souring process. Have […]
Limited Edition Bottle – 2016 Series | NO LONGER AVAILABLE Our annual harvest lager was brewed with 100% pilsener malt and hopped with Tipperary grown Hersbrucker. The resulting lager has a delicate floral nose with a long bitter finish. Here’s to a successful crop next year!
Limited Edition Bottle – 2016 Series | NO LONGER AVAILABLE “Vienna has always been an elegant city, and beer named after it should reflect this elegance.” With this in mind we set out to brew our take on this Viennese classic using the finest German Pilsener & Cara Munich malt and Vienna malt from Belgium. Saaz […]
Limited Edition Bottle – 2016 Series | NO LONGER AVAILABLE Harvest Ale; a true Irish ale, brewed once a year with Tipperary grown Bramling Cross hops. Limited Edition Bottle – 2016 Series | NO LONGER AVAILABLE Our subtle take on the classic style. The Yeast Bay’s Wallonian Farmhouse yeast strain really is the star here, imparting a mild funk which compliments this dry and refreshing saison. On the nose, a hint of orange, hay and a lingering funk. On the tongue expect […]
Limited Edition Bottle – 2016 Series | NO LONGER AVAILABLE Continuing with our historical interpretations, we kept our Gose (Goes-Ah) as true to style as possible. We mashed half and half pilsner and wheat malt and introduced souring bacteria, around half the amount of our regular sours, before boiling with coriander and Himalayan rock salt. The […]
Limited Edition Bottle – 2016 Series | NO LONGER AVAILABLE Brewed in collaboration with the Woolshed Brewpub, Southern Australia. We decided to brew a style popular in Jackson Beavis’ local area of Renmark (although the Aussies drink their stouts with lemonade!) Ours is a tropical interpretation of the style with a slightly fruity, rum & molasses […]
Limited Edition Bottle – 2016 Series | NO LONGER AVAILABLE Russian Imperial Stouts named because of their popularity in the Russian Courts during the reign of Catherine the Great. Our version is a big chewy number, with a gentle fruity nose, matched on the tongue with a relaxed roastiness and a long fruity finish. Part […]
Limited Edition Bottle – 2016 Series | NO LONGER AVAILABLE Pale Stout? Historically the word “stout” pertained more to strength than colour. We’ve tried to pack in all the flavours usually associated with big dark beers into basically a strong English Ale. We’ve used heaps of oats for body and increased mouthfeel, smoked malt for a lovely […]
